Tom Robertson for A.H. McIntosh - Dunvegan Mid-Century Coffee Table

Designed by Tom Robertson for Scottish manufacturer A.H. McIntosh as part of the celebrated Dunvegan collection, this mid-century coffee table pairs beautiful materials with an ingenious, highly functional design. This is a rarely seen rosewood-top variant of the piece, which is more commonly found in teak.

The richly figured rosewood top is framed by a solid teak apron and sculpted solid rosewood legs. Concealed beneath each end is a pull-out extension finished in black melamine - a practical surface designed for drinks while protecting the wood top. With both extensions open, the table expands from a compact 42" to 58".

Fully refinished from top to bottom and finished with five coats of protective lacquer.

Dimensions

  • 42"W × 19"D × 18"H
    58"W fully extended

Condition

  • Very good vintage condition.

  • Fully restored and refinished.

  • A subtle repair to the top is visible at certain angles. Please see last photo.
